AISI 4130 (25CrMo4, EN18) — chromium-molybdenum alloy steel combining good strength, weldability, and toughness for oil & gas, aerospace, and structural engineering applications.

AISI 4145 / 4145H — the standard CrMo alloy steel for oil & gas drill collars, HWDP, and BHA components per API Spec 7-1. Higher carbon than 4140 (0.43-0.49% vs 0.38-0.43%) for greater hardness and wear resistance in downhole service. Available as round bar, heavy hollow bar, and forgings.

AISI 4330V / 4330 MOD (AMS 6411) — high-performance NiCrMoV alloy steel. Superior toughness at Class 2 strength levels vs 4145H. The preferred material for demanding deepwater, HPHT, and high-performance BHA components per API Spec 7-1 Class 2 (150 ksi / 1034 MPa min YS).

EN26 / 826M40 / 30CrNiMo8 (1.6580) — high-alloy NiCrMo steel for very large sections. Reliable Q&T through-hardening to 200-250 mm diameter. Higher Ni (2.50-3.00%) and Cr (0.90-1.20%) than 4340/EN24, giving superior hardenability for heavy forgings, large shafts, and pressure vessel components where 4340 hardenability is insufficient.

EN30B / 835M30 (closest DIN: 36NiCrMo16, 1.6773) - the highest-alloy grade in the BS 970 NiCrMo through-hardening series. Ni 3.90-4.30%. Reliable Q&T through-hardening to 300+ mm diameter. Specified for very large forgings, heavy shafts, and ultra-high toughness applications where EN26 hardenability is insufficient. Specialist indent grade with extended lead times.
